Dawlish Warren

As well as being home to our chalet there's enough to keep your attention in Dawlish Warren itself even before you travel further out.

From your chalet a short walk brings you into the centre of the thriving seasie town with a number of shops, entertainment areas and often a local market.

Walking underneath the railway bridge brings you to the Warren itself, a sandy peninsula stretching across the mouth of the River Exe.

At it's widest end near the railway lines are a number of rides, a crazy golf course, a large Go-Cart track and an 18 hole golf course with a par 69, open to visitors, that tracks out into the Warren itself, giving even experienced golfers a challenge.

A grouping of shops and a seaside restaurant sit beside the start of what is probably the Warren's most distinctive feature. Walking along the sea wall gives you the choice of turning right onto the golden sand of the Warren beach on the Channel side, or turning left which takes you into a well looked after nature reserve with a large collection of wild inhabitents.

For the bird spotter a hide is available at the far end of the Warren giving a unique view back across the marshland and estuary at the myriad of birds on show.

If you decide to take the right turn onto the beach you're promised an uncrowded time on the sand, some of which is dog friendly if you've brought your canine friend with you.

Beach huts and deckchairs are available for rent and the local shops will keep any children busy with enough beach toys to make sure any loving parent can keep their eye on them... while having their own time to relax.

Nature reserve... or golden beach...? It's your choice to make.
